Charlotte joined Browne Craine in March 2016 and is responsible for liaising with clients and managing audit work from the start of the audit process to the signing of the accounts. She leads a number of our audit engagements, ranging from smaller charities through to our largest group audits. Charlotte is incredibly diligent and organised, which ensures a smooth audit experience for all parties involved.
Charlotte trained in a mid-tier international audit firm and became a member of the ACCA in 2012 and was awarded fellowship in 2017. She specialises in the audit of groups, charities, pensions and investment property and also has a wide knowledge and experience of local government and trading companies. Charlotte has built a strong knowledge base over the years focused towards providing exceptional client satisfaction and added value services to external clients. She is currently working hard to apply for the UK audit qualification, which would then allow her to gain Responsible Individual status. The study requirements to be able to apply for the UK audit qualification included exams on both the latest auditing and accounting standards, which has resulted in Charlotte becoming the go-to technical expert in the office.
Charlotte has also recently become a certified internal auditor (“CIA”) which means the firm can offer Internal Audit Services. By becoming qualified as CIA she now have access to a new network of contacts and enhanced skills in areas such as risk control, management and information flows which will enable us to help our clients in all areas of their business.
In her spare time, Charlotte has a passion for travelling and enjoys cruising to various places with her family. She has twin boys who keep her very busy outside of work.
