Coronavirus Update - 22nd March

Browne Craine

I hope this announcement finds all our clients, associates and friends well and coping with the unprecedented nature of the Coronavirus epidemic.

Since this virus reached Europe and the British Isles the Directors of Browne Craine have endeavoured to put the welfare of our staff, clients, associates and their families at the forefront of our response.  We have followed implicitly the guidelines issued by the World Health Organisation, Public Health England and the Isle of Man Government.

On Friday 20th March the Chief Minister announced the latest guidelines and restrictions which the Isle of Man Government were introducing in their efforts to contain the spread of the virus.  I should inform you that in line with these guidelines we will be formally enforcing our Business Resumption & Continuity plan to full effect commencing immediately.  As such the majority of our staff will be working remotely from home.  We will also, until such time that the current guidelines are withdrawn, no longer be holding face-to-face meetings either at Burleigh Manor or at third party premises.  Instead all client and other meetings will be held via telephone, video conferencing and/or Skype.

Our reception will still be manned by Sandra who should be able to deal with all telephone enquiries and help you get in touch with our team members.  However, given the nature of remote working it may be easier if you use email as the first mode of communication in the coming days and weeks.  If you don’t have the email address for the person whom you wish to contact please email and your enquiry will be forwarded onto the intended recipient promptly.

We have tested our Business Resumption & Continuity plan for such situations as these, therefore we are confident that the plan is robust and workable.  Clearly due to the nature of remote working we cannot guarantee that there will not be some minor interruptions to the service we provide.  As such there may be occasions, certainly in the early days, when it may take slightly longer than normal for us to reply to your enquiries.  However, please be assured that we will be constantly looking to ensure that any issues with our ability to provide our services are addressed quickly and at minimum inconvenience to all our clients and associates.

Clearly this is an ever changing situation and one we will continue to monitor closely, providing updates as and when necessary on our various social media platforms.  In the meantime, on behalf of everyone at Burleigh Manor, I’d like to extend our very best wishes to everyone on the Isle of Man and further afield, including all of our clients, associates and their families.  We are living through a truly surreal experience and we hope everyone stays safe during these unprecedented times.

Very best wishes,

Craig Mitchell
