Browne Craine sponsors the next IOMBN event: “The UK EU Referendum – in or out, what happens now for the Isle of Man?”

Sponsored by Browne Craine & Co (“Browne Craine”), The Isle of Man Business Network (“IOMBN”) has announced its next event “The UK EU Referendum – in or out, what happens now for the Isle of Man?”.

Taking place on Monday 27th June at The Claremont Hotel, IOMBN members and guests can look forward to hearing the initial observations of Chief Minister Allan Bell MHK following the outcome of the United Kingdom referendum on whether or not it will remain in the European Union.

A vote to leave on 23rd June would take the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man on a journey into uncharted territory. Much would depend on what the UK could negotiate in place of EU membership, and how the Island as a Crown Dependency would fit in to that new relationship.

Building on the work already undertaken by Government to set out possible implications and identify some of the key areas for discussion, the Chief Minister will be able to provide an insight into how the Isle of Man Government is likely to respond to the debates that will follow in the weeks, months and years ahead -- whatever the outcome.
